Lecture 6 Assessment for Learning in Technology Education

I found this lecture particularly useful because it involved the practical work i.e. assessments, how to do it, why its done etc.

The interactive markers are an cheaper alternative to the expensive smartboards. i think this is very important to teachers as it explores avenues of technology that will not neccesarily  cost the school mass amounts of money.

There are drawbacks to this technology too, the technology also requires a wii mote which can be an issue, when it comes to fiscal needs.

Although considering all of the above this is a fantastic adaptation to allow the use of smartboard technology for the price of interactive whiteboard marker prices. i would most definitely consider using this technolgy in my own classroom

i believe that it was well presented

There were some timing issues, but as i keep finding out that is a real issue that teachers face everyday and that it will only become more concise with practice and preparation.

I was worried about the students not being able to follow the lesson because there were a few elements and some were hard concepts to understand. Therefore if i was to redo this lesson in a year 8 classroom i may have simplified even more.

It was great working with Sarah, i think wee both played to our strengths. i think it also helped that we were friends already.

All in all i think this presentation was a success and now we are just waiting on some feedback from Des

The importance of this lecture was that technology can be a wide variety of things and we need to look at the specifics of our classrooms and decide what needs to learnt
